We decided to take another trip to Walt Disney World in September 2020. This time we opted to stay at a Value Resort for the first time and we picked Disney's Pop Century Resort as our destination. Over the years we have stayed at several Walt Disney World moderate and deluxe resorts and we love staying on property. This time we decided to save a little money and stay at a Value resort.
We opted to spend a little extra on our room category and we opted for a "Preferred" room which means it is located closer to the main lobby and skyliner at the resort. The resort offers four types of rooms: Standard, Standard Pool View, Preferred and Preferred Pool View. All the rooms at the resort are the same size at 260 sq. feet with some offering one King bed or One Queen bed and a Queen Murphy bed. Overall the rooms are comfortable with standard amenities. The rooms come with a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, large flat screen TV, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, Disney H20 Soap & Shampoo and keyless entry.
With the COVID19 and the Pandemic being of great concern to everyone's health and safety, Disney is going above and beyond to make their accommodations safe. They encourage everyone to utilize the My Disney App and check-in online. By doing so, you can use your mobile phone as your room key and there is no need to go to the front desk. Additionally, they encourage everyone to utilize Mobile Ordering when purchasing food from their quick service restaurant. The rooms also have enhanced cleaning and you can opt to have limited housekeeping services or no housekeeping. We chose to request extra towels and no housekeeping. Masks are currently required whenever you are outside your room and that includes outside areas and inside areas. The only time you can remove your mask is when you are stationary and eating or drinking. We appreciate these efforts and mandates to keep everyone safe.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Pop Century Resort and we would definitely stay at this resort again. Check out our Resort Tour for an overview of the resorts grounds. We will also be posting a video on our channel with a complete room tour.
