AMERICA'S #1 BURGER & GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

Located in Hollywood, FL is a unique restaurant that is purported to have the #1 Hamburger in America (USA) and it's called Le Tub. Rustic, funky and eclectic are just a few ways to describe this unique restaurant that has been serving up food since 1974. It originally opened in 1959 as a Sunoco Gas Station and when it closed in the early 1970's due to the energy crisis, it was purchased & decorated with items found abandoned along Hollywood Beach that were collected by the owner over a period of 4 years. The multi-level venue is situated right up against the intercostal waterway and provide beautiful views of the boats passing buy. GQ Magazine named it the #1 Burger in America and Oprah Winfrey then featured it on her show which put this small restaurant on the map of "Must Visit" restaurants of South Florida. Over Father's Day weekend we decided to go eat here because they offer outside seating with social distancing.

We also ventured over to Wilton Manors, Florida to pay a visit to our friends Howard and Dawn who have been giving back to the community during the Pandemic. Wilton Manors is considered to be one of the top "Gay Villages" in the world and this small Island located adjacent to Fort Lauderdale is filled with restaurants, bars and unique shops. Due to the pandemic many who live in this community have been struggling because they are out of work. Howard and Dawn took it upon themselves to start offering Free Meals a couple times per-week to those who work in the LGBTQ+ Community and found themselves in need. They did this for 15 weeks and gave away 100+ hot meals each week for those in need. When we talk about our mantra of Happiness Is A Lifestyle, Howard and Dawn are living examples of bringing happiness through selfless acts of kindness.
